CONCEPT
Create a typeface with inspiration from circuit boards, tech, and the film Tron. The name “Derezzed” is from the film Tron Legacy.
PROCESS
I sketched out some concepts that initially took on a constellation design, it occured to me that the visual feel of the sketch looked similar to circuit boards and instead took inspiration from tech components and the film Tron.
I then created each glyph (letter) in Adobe Illustrator with my Wacom tablet on a grid.
After a few revisions of the glyph concepts, I then imported them into FontLab studio and corrected the vector symmetry.
Each glyph is put into the associated box.
